|Distribution||Native to eastern and southern Asia and western Pacific.|
||Similar to Emelia coccinea and E. fosbergii, except plants usually more slender and branched.
||Leaves usually lyrate pinnatifid and dentate, the lower ones usually pinnately lobed.
||Heads with involucre 2-4 times as high as wide, as long as corolla, consisting of ca. 8 bracts, usually 9-12 mm long; florets usually 20-40 per head, corollas lavender to pale purple, as long as the involucral bracts or scarcely surpassing them, the lobes 0.3-1.7 mm long.
||Achenes 3 mm long, 0.5 mm wide, 5-ribbed, ribs puberulous; pappus white, 8 mm long, bristles slender.
