Research Focus:

I am interested in understanding the paleoecological context of early hominins in the Pliocene and the Pleistocene. I explore modern ecosystems to better understand the paleoenvironmental conditions that prevailed in the past. My current research involves studying vegetation structure in modern eastern African ecosystems using proxies in soil.

As part of ETE, I am currently working on a project that looks at species pairs through time.
