Hawai`i, Kohala, on top of pali above Waipi`o Valley just below first ditchman's house. 9 September 1938. Cranwell and Skottsberg 3185.
Holotype [BISH]. Isotype(s) [GB].

Note: Publication says "(2 type sheets, Goth.)," but BISH sheet has Sherff label that says "Type, first sheet," and should probably be taken as holotype. Write to GB to confirm. Published with O. Selling as a collector, but Selling's name is crossed out on the printed label of the BISH sheet.
