Note: Additional syntypes: East Maui, Hillebrand s.n.; Hamakua, Lydgate s.n. The lectotype also serves as the holotype of Solanum globosum H. St. John. Cited as collected by Hillebrand and Lydgate, but probably collected by Hillebrand alone; specimen label is one of the ones Forbes had printed for Lydgates herbarium that had both Hillebrand and Lydgate given as collectors.
