Note: Additional syntype: Maui, East Maui, mountains. St John deduced this type as from Hawai`i based on morphology of the specimen. He didn't find a sheet from Maui. BISH isolectotype on loan 9/97 (RKS).

Note: According to St. John (1986), this collection was really made on Pu`u Kukui. BISH isotypes ex herb. Lydgate, with label provided by Forbes; both Wolff and St. John (1986) indicate that Hillebrand was the sole collector. One of the BISH isotypes on loan 9/97 (RKS).
