Holotype [NY]. O. Degener and I. Degener 33680. 23 January 1976. Hawai`i: Puna, Kalama mauka just beyond National Park boundary NE of Wahaula, bulldozed Metrosideros forest.1300ft. Isotype(s) [GB, MASS!, NY [mfc!], S, W].

Note: The "Ka" of "Kalama" was later crossed out on the holotype label and replaced with "Pu." There are probably more isotypes ("isotypes widely distributed").
