Note: Hillebrand cited locality as "Nuuanu and Makaleha on Oahu!" Degener selected lectotype from two sheets at B, one from Nuuanu and one from Makaleha. Both BISH sheets are labeled as isolectotypes, but the one with the "Ex Museo botanico Berolinensi" is probably a fragment of the lectotype. There is also a sheet at BISH with original label and locality given as "Kaala, Oahu" that is probably a syntype.
