Note: Non Psychotria sessilis Vellozo (1825) nec Müll. Arg. (1881). Sohmer's lectotypification (Lyonia 1: 166. 1977) is superfluous, as it is clear that the holotype was part of Degener's herbarium, on loan to BISH at the time of publication but later accessioned by BISH.
