Cited as collected by Hillebrand and Lydgate, but probably collected by Hillebrand alone; specimen label is one of the ones Forbes had printed for Lydgates herbarium that had both Hillebrand and Lydgate given as collectors. Holotype also serves as the lectotype of S. incompletum var. glabratum.
