Note: Stone's lectotypification (Phan. Monogr. 3: 135. 1969) is not valid as he did not cite a herbarium where the collection is deposited. Although Stone cites this collection in the collector index as a mixture of P. clusiaefolia and P. peduncularis, no mention of it could be found under P. clusiaefolia in the text and there is no comment with its citation under P. peduncularis indicating pro parte.
