Note: Hillebrand cited collections from Moloka`i (Kalae, Wailau, and Mopulehu) and Lana`i. Sherff designated the Lana`i syntype at B as the type of Labordia molokaiana var. munroi. From among the Moloka`i collections at B ("a sheet of material from each of these three localities is extant in fine condition") he selected the Kalae sheet as the lectotype of L. lophocarpa Hillebr. The specimen at BISH is a fragment of the Wailau syntype at B. Possible isolectotype at MEL [photo BISH], Moloka`i, without locality.
