Note: Nom. illegit., nom. superfl. Hillebrand cited Wawra's validly published name K. cordata var. pruinosa (without citing varietal epithet) in synonymy. Hillebrand should have used Wawra's name, and Hillebrand's name is automatically typified on the type of Wawra's name, making Fosberg's lectotypification (Bernice P. Bishop Mus. Bull. 174: 38. 1943) unnecessary.
