Habit
|
Stems 1-1.5(-2.5) dm long, all stems cylindrical or sometimes some of the upper ones slightly flattened, similar in width, second internode 7-12(-16) mm long, 1.5-2.5 mm wide, others usually 6-15(-25) mm long, 1.5-2.5 mm wide, nerves inconspicuous. Axils decussate, sometimes oblique.

Flower groups forming a continuous band around the stem, sometimes confined to the axils in young material.

Notes
|
This species is very closely related to Korthalsella cylindrica. It differs primarily in having decussate, rather than distichous, leaf axils.
