Habit
Terrestrial or epiphytic shrubs or trees 2-6 m tall.
Leaves
Leaves elliptic to oblanceolate, blades 7-16 cm long, 1.5-4 cm wide, glabrous, upper surface dark green, glossy, lower surface pale green, margins callose-crenulate, sometimes revolute, apex acute, obtuse, or rounded, rarely acuminate, base cuneate or attenuate, petioles 2-7 cm long.
Flowers
Inflorescences 2-3(-6)-flowered, peduncles 6-30 mm long, pedicels 12-30 mm long; hypanthium hemispherical, obconical, or oblong, 7-12 mm long, 6-8 mm wide; perianth greenish white to white, sometimes with a faint purplish tinge externally, 48-60 mm long, 5-8 mm wide, glabrous, the tube suberect to gently curved, the lobes spreading, about as long as the tube; staminal column white, glabrous; anthers white, glabrous.
Fruit
Berries yellowish orange, subglobose, 17-30 mm long.
